DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 2 (Two) (1) William L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "No. 414", 8 day, time and strike spring brass movement porcelain mantel clock; (2) Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Cabinet No. 51" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in an oak case, brass dial with silvered chapter ring and cast spandrels, c1914.
CONDITION:
(1) Attractive blue porcelain case has a little wear to the applied gold. Original dial has some staining at the edges of the center ring and has age darkened a little. Original hands. (2) (2) Case finish is original and has darkened somewhat. Dial components are in very good condition. Original hands. Ansonia pendulum. The movement is not signed on the back plate, but is identical to the one in the Malta (1). Dimensions are for (1). Sold "as is ".
